Important Note: All residents must schedule their arrival time through the online check-in system, which will be available in June. This information is provided to assist families in planning, but we strongly encourage you not to make specific travel plans until you have an assignment and have selected your move-in time online.
Move-In times vary by residence hall. Details regarding the sign up process will be emailed to incoming students’ Crimson email accounts.
Campus residents assigned to the Lofts will not select a move-in time. Detailed information will be sent to Lofts residents by email.
*Early Arrivals (Aug. 10 and 11)
Approved early arrival activities are:
- sorority recruitment
- Million Dollar Band
- student athletes as approved by coaching staff
- Camp 1831 (dates vary from main schedule)
- Alabama Action
- Outdoor Action
- Black Belt Action
- Health Action
- Biology Boot Camp
The leaders of these groups will send students’ information to HRC staff, so please follow up with the appropriate group leader for more information and details.
Because there are no fraternity recruitment events scheduled prior to the end of Move-In, fraternity recruitment is not approved for early arrivals.
Mail and Packages
How can I receive mail and packages when I live on campus?
For the safety and security of HRC residents, mail and packages are not delivered directly to the residence halls. All deliveries are made to the Ferguson Mail Center, operated by the Campus Mail Service. Students do not need to rent a mailbox to receive packages on campus. For more information, please visit the Ferguson Mail Center webpage, or call Campus Mail Service at (205) 348-MAIL.
